The Mayas (Part 3)
Maya priests would hide the secrets concerning their teachings in secret places within their temples and entrusted these secrets only to their sons or distinguished princes. The same procedure can also be observed in Egypt and in Babylon. The Head Mayan Priest’s title was Manek Maya or Hakmak, both having the meaning of Perfect Human Being (Kamil Man). The etymology of the word Babylon is based on the combination of “Ba” and “Bel”. In the ancient Mayan language, these words mean Way and Ancestor, the combination of which can be defined as the “City of our Ancestors who has arrived from a distant place”. The title of the Chaldean head priest was “Rabmak”. This word, just like Hakmak of the Mayas, also means the Kamil Man.40 The words “Hak” and “Rab” continue their existence in Abrahamic religions.
We had explained before that the priests of the Osiris religion in Atlantis were called the Masons. After the great flood, the first known usage of the word Mason was in 7 thousand B.C. in Western Anatolia. As it was written on clay tablets in a symbolic language different from the Hittite language, the very first settlers of the west Anatolian coast, who lived 9 thousand years ago, called the “Luvi”, reached us to this day through the Hittites who had founded a powerful empire in Anatolia in 2 thousand B.C. The word “Luvi” meant, “The Children of the Light” in their language. The likeness between the pictures and the symbols of Miken inscriptions and Luvi inscriptions could be observed.
Luvi language comes from the Indian-European language family. The name of the Mother Goddess that the Luvi people worshipped was “Ma”, whereas Ma was also the name of the oldest known Mother Goddess in Anatolia.41
In his book named “The Children of Mu”, James Churchward states that a branch of the people that disseminated to all corners of the earth, starting from Mu, went to the East, and there, they first founded the Maya civilization, then the Maya Empire. From there, they moved to Atlantis, and traveling past Atlantis, they reached all the way to the shores of the Mediterranean. Maya-Atlantis colonizers that settled down in the Aegean islands, carried their affection to their mainland, to the other side of the ocean, and made Maia (Ma), the daughter of Atlas and the mother of all Gods, especially of Apollon and Hermes, the Mother Goddess. Goddess Maia lasted for many years, and the month of May was named after her in many Western calendars. May festivals which are currently celebrated in the Christian world, and which were attributed to Virgin Mary originated from the Mayan belief.42
The Miken civilization was founded based on the teachings of Atlantis colonizers. While a branch of these people founded the lower Nile colony, another branch founded the Miken colony on the island of Crete and settled down on the Western coast of Anatolia. Luvis, thus, are the Maya-Atlantis people that settled down on the western Anatolia coastline. Thus the Luvis were people of Maya. Another branch of these peoples was the Phoenicians, who named themselves the “People of Carou”. It is thought that the name Phoenician has been derived from the word “phoiniks”, which means red in Greek, and that this name was given due to the color of their skin. Phoenicians had red skins. Phoenicians from Sur, Sidon, Babylon, and Ugarit, worshipped El, the Father God El, and his wife Balat or Astarte (Venus), as well as their son Baal. Although El, represented by the Sun, loved his dear wife infinitely, his biggest pleasure was to get female human beings pregnant.
El used to introduce himself as a stranger to those passing by. For that reason, in order to satisfy his desire, it was the duty of all Phoenician women to offer themselves to complete strangers during certain periods of the year, in temples dedicated to Goddess Balat or Astarte. These periods coincided with the autumnal and vernal (spring) equinoxes. The women used to sell themselves to strangers throughout the day, and with the money raised, they used to buy sacrifices to offer to Balat. Only outsider men were allowed to enter these places where sexual intercourse took place. These whores of the temple were called the Hirodules, which meant “Holy Servants”.43
As explained before, in the Maya language, the word “Ma” is a reference to the first country it originated from. The settlers who arrived in Egypt from the west, named the region along the Nile, “Maui”. In Egyptian, the word “Ma” means the “West” and the “Place”.44 The Mother Goddess “Ma” represents the Mu Continent (M) sunken in the Pacific and the Atlantis (A) continent sunken in the Atlantic.
In the Luvi language, “Mara” meant the sea, the names Marmara and Marmaris, which are currently used in Turkey, meant the “sea of the Mother Goddess Ma”. Luvis, as if to point at the civilization from where they arrived, called the highest mountain in the region where they settled, as “Mount Maya”, which is also the name currently used. Their most important male god is Apollo. Apollo is the son of Ma. Originally an Anatolian God, Apollo was later accepted to the Greek Pantheon of Gods. He is also known as the “God of the Light”, and is symbolized by the Sun.
The old copper coins found in Pitane, one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia, have a star with five edges with a dot in the middle.45 The same symbol is being used in today’s Masonry.
